We have just put some new corsages and boutonnieres on our website, and just in time for prom too! By the way, these are MoonFlower exclusive designs, and you won’t find them anywhere else.
Here’s one of our new corsages on the left, featuring beautiful and exotic mokara orchids. It comes with a copper bracelet, and can be worn on your wrist or arm.
And you guys out there, don’t feel left out, because there’s a matching boutonniere too. In fact, MoonFlower Florist has several sets of matching corsages and boutonnieres.
You can see it all in the “Contemporary” category on our website in Formal and Event Flowers.
Finally! Our Orchid Bowl arrangement is now available to order online.
These small but stylish beauties have been an in-store best seller since we started making them shortly after opening back in 2006.
We’ve had them bought to be used as office arrangements, get well wishes for hospital patients and even as centrepieces for a local prom.
They’re also easy to take care of. Cymbidium orchids have incredible staying power and this arrangement requires no more than a top-up of water.
Find it in our MoonFlower Exclusives and Orchids sections.

Ah, prom season. We have a lot of fun designing unique corsages and boutonnieres and playing around with the various floral accessories we get in for prom. But on the other hand, we’ve glued our fingers together more than once!
This year for prom the overall trend seems to be towards quality over quantity. The girls coming in are looking for smaller corsages with a lower dose of frills and ribbon. Instead they want bold colour and small sparkly touches. Here’s a rundown of what’s in this year.

Pops of colour
Hot pinks, sunny yellows, acid greens and flaming oranges are in high demand this year. Whites and pastels are still popular, but are on their way out. Check out this orange and green corsage and boutonniere we made with ranunculus and hypericum for a local high school’s prom fashion show.
Bling

Okay, so the word “bling” isn’t cool anymore, but the crystals, gems and pearls we’ve been using seem to be. Especially popular are the crystal hearts and the pearl flowers with a crystal centre. Putting just two or three into a corsage adds a great subtle sparkle. Even the guys have been requesting the crystal sprays in their boutonnieres!

It’s all in the wrist
The simple elastic wristbands are still our go-to for prom, but many girls have taken to our more stylish options. Satin, sequined and pearl wristbands make the corsage look great from any angle and can be kept as a reminder of the big night.
