Birthday Flower for JUNE is the ROSE
The rose has long been a symbol of love and passion, and is rich with history and meaning. Cleopatra lured Mark Antony with a room knee-deep in rose petals, and the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite presented a rose to Eros. With roses, each color can convey a distinct meaning, and the number of stems can represent a unique message. Roses are appropriate for almost any occasion, and this June birth flower always signifies beauty and perfection.

MoonFlower Debuts “Sweetheart Rose Solitaire” for Valentine’s Day
MoonFlower Florist has introduced a new original design just in time for Valentine’s Day – the Sweetheart Rose Solitaire. Now, it may be just one premium rose, but this is where we really use our artistic talents to create a superb presentation. It’s classy, understated, elegant, and … intimate.
In our Guys’ Guide to Flowers for Her, we said:
- Always go for quality when getting flowers for her. Even if all you can afford is one single rose, make sure it’s a really good one.
Now we’re backing up that advice with the Sweetheart Rose Solitaire. It’s the lowest priced item in our catalogue, but it still looks great. Sometimes good things do come in small packages.
By the way, did you notice the two rhinestone hearts in the picture? To view a large image and for ordering info, see Sweetheart Rose Solitaire, or check out our complete Valentine’s Day Flowers selection.

MoonFlower Posts Guys’ Guide to Flowers for Her
MoonFlower has just posted Guys’ Guide to Flowers for Her. Yes, it’s a man-ual! It’s full of easy, practical advice and tips on how to give flowers to the woman in your life. And that in turn can move your love life up a few notches. So if you’re a guy, this bud’s for you. Here’s a quick tour.
- First there is a “Compressed Version for the Impatient“.
- Let’s get to the bottom-line: Flowers = Romance. There’s more to it of course, but first you have to know why flowers work.
- By the way, if you don’t have a clue about flowers, guess what? It’s no problem!
- Make sure you avoid the biggest mistake many men make, and that you understand why quality is critical.
- Never forget the big 5 occasions, but also take advantage of the power of the surprise.
- Oh no, not red roses again – they’re nice, but show some imagination. Also, a relationship goes through many stages, so be sure to keep it appropriate.
- Flowers say a lot by themselves, but if you include the right message, you can tone things up or down. Speaking of messages, what about an apology? Flowers can really help you get out of the doghouse.
- Some finer points — learn how to conquer the corsage and master the boutonniere. And don’t forget the other ladies in your life.
- And last but not least, a couple of notes for the women out there.

MoonFlower Updates Photo Gallery
MoonFlower Florist has an extensive collection of flower arrangements available on our website at MoonFlower.ca. But as it turns out, a lot of our work is custom designed, and some of our most outstanding bouquets may never appear in our regular online catalog. How can you see these?
Well that’s what the MoonFlower Photo Gallery is for of course. And we just did an update, so have a look!
Where do these unique flower arrangements come from? Often it’s a customer who has something specific on his or her mind, and we always do our best to accommodate special – and even unusual – requests. At other times, it’s someone who may not know much about flowers, but they do know what message they want to send, and that they want to do it with style. At MoonFlower, we come through.
Another factor is that some flowers are only available at certain times of the year, or we’re able to get our hands on something rare or unusual. We always have some “different” flowers on hand which we use in our custom bouquets.
Less common flower varieties however may only be around for a short time, so you won’t see them as a “regular item” on our website. The only way to find out about these is to come in or call us, and ask what’s new and different.
As an example, the arrangement of roses at top right is clean and classy. But their outstanding feature is that they are an unusual cinnamon color. It might be hard to tell depending on your monitor, resolution, and so on, but live and in-person, these cinnamon roses are absolutely gorgeous and strikingly different.
