MoonFlower Florist is normally closed on Sundays, but there are two exceptions. One is Mother’s Day and the other is Valentine’s Day if it happens to fall on a Sunday. And this year, it does!
We’ll be open on Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14, from 10 am to 4 pm. This will be for personal shopping and pre-order pick-up only.
We expect that our delivery schedule will be full on Valentine’s Day. If you do need delivery, please order by phone to confirm delivery availability. A good option is to order ahead and then just come in and quickly pick-up your flowers at the shop.
Valentine’s Day is one of our very busiest times. Be sure to order early to avoid disappointment!
MoonFlower Florist has introduced a new original design just in time for Valentine’s Day – the Sweetheart Rose Solitaire. Now, it may be just one premium rose, but this is where we really use our artistic talents to create a superb presentation. It’s classy, understated, elegant, and … intimate.
In our Guys’ Guide to Flowers for Her, we said:
- Always go for quality when getting flowers for her. Even if all you can afford is one single rose, make sure it’s a really good one.
Now we’re backing up that advice with the Sweetheart Rose Solitaire. It’s the lowest priced item in our catalogue, but it still looks great. Sometimes good things do come in small packages.
By the way, did you notice the two rhinestone hearts in the picture? To view a large image and for ordering info, see Sweetheart Rose Solitaire, or check out our complete Valentine’s Day Flowers selection.
It’s just after midnight on February 1, and just two weeks away is Valentine’s Day. Flower buying goes up something like 500% on Valentine’s, which may sound like a dream for florists, but it’s also a dread. The reality is that we just can’t quintuple our staff, inventory, delivery vans, store size, and everything else for one day of the year.
So here’s a friendly message for everyone out there:
- Please please please order early for Valentine’s Day!
We would especially hate to disappoint our regular customers, but we may have no choice if you want something at the 11th hour. Making it more difficult this year is that Valentine’s is on a Saturday, so many people might think they can wait till then.
We expect that we will run out of delivery capacity a few days before. By Friday, we’ll be accepting only telephone orders for personal pick-up at the shop. On Saturday, the day of, we might not even get a chance to answer the phone. And if you come to the store, you’ll have to stand in line and wait. There will be extra staff and we’ll work as fast as we can, but we won’t just slap something together. Our reputation is part of every bouquet that goes out our door, but quality takes a little time, and we hope you’ll understand.
By the way, we have created something very special for Valentine’s Day this year. Have a look at our True Romance Kit!
Valentine’s Day is getting close, only about 3 weeks away. We’ve been thinking about this idea for a while, and now we’ve done it: MoonFlower Florist has introduced The True Romance Kit! In fact, there are 3 of them to choose from. Here’s a picture of one:

Notice something different? It’s more than just flowers. In addition to a dozen absolutely gorgeous deep red roses, there’s also a bottle of Inttimo aromatherapy massage oil, a candle in a glass holder, and a bag of real rose petals (with instructions if you can’t figure it out!). And the tag line says “Now, can you think of something to do with all that?”. Hmm …
Yes, it’s for lovers, especially on Valentine’s Day. But you don’t have to wait for February 14th, which comes just once a year. You can get a MoonFlower True Romance Kit at any time. Just have a look in our Love and Romance section.
